SHORTLY ABOUT ME

I am an independent consultant with 30+ years working with statistics including consultancy for statistical organistions in Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

I have comprehensive theoretical and practical expertise in the efficient production and dissemination of official statistics fulfilling user needs. This is achieved by using a generel model for communication and various frameworks and standards: the Generic Statistical Business Process Model (GSBPM), Code of Practice (CoP) and Quality Assurance Framework (QAF / NQAF) and other related statistical models and standards: GAMSO, BPM, GSIM, DDI, SDMX etc.

I have a particular interest in ensuring democratic fulfilment of user needs based on models for interaction between users, management (at all levels) and statistical production processes. Statistical information and other trushworthy information must be the evidence behind facts in the public debate. E.g. the implemention of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) must connect policitical goals (international and national) and initiatives with concrete implementation of SDG indicators.

  • Sustainable quality in Official Statistics. Management of quality including integration in production and in the dissemination of statistics using international statistical quality assurance frameworks including UN National Quality Assurance Framework

  • Guidance and a tool for the implementation of SDG’s to focusing on improvement of coordination in the National Statistical System. The guidance covers reflections and description of the uses of the indicators and descriptions / implementation of a) work processes, b) content of indicators and related data flows and c) IT solutions

  • Ensuring fulfilment of user needs based on models for interaction between users, management processes and production processes. Dissemination using models for website development based on simple communication models connecting the right content to the rigth users

  • Plan, design and development of metadata-driven production of statistics using GAMSO, GSBPM, GSIM, DDI, SDMX and various other standards.

  • Management of stepwise change processes going from inception to final implementation using Business Process Management (BPM), The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and Prince2 project management tool.
